Our School Holds a Commendation Conference for the Qualification Evaluation of Undergraduate Teaching Work

The school successfully passed the qualified evaluation for undergraduate teaching work in ordinary higher education institutions by the Ministry of Education, marking a new leap in the quality of talent training and educational level of the school, and has a milestone historical significance in the development history of the school.

On October 25th, the university held a meeting of undergraduate teaching qualification evaluation and commendation in the academic lecture hall of Nanquan Campus to commend advanced and excellent departments and 82 exemplary individual. The school council leaders, all school leaders attended, all faculty and staff attended the conference, and the Shuangqiao campus held online meetings simultaneously. The conference was presided over by Yeping Zhang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Vice President.

At the meeting, Vice President Mingshu Tan read out the commendation decisions of exemplary individual and advanced collectives. Wanjun Wang, Chairman and President, Dezhi Li, Vice Chairman, Yeping Zhang and Mingshu Tan presented awards to exemplary individual representatives respectively.

The award-winning representatives, Yu Zhao, Director of the Teaching Quality Management Office, and Qi Qin, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Department of the School of Computer and Internet of Things, shared their observations, feelings, and insights in the evaluation work in their speeches. Full weight workers, represented by them, adhere to the spirit of "overcoming difficulties and selfless dedication" in heavy industry. They consider the overall situation, unite sincerely, and work together, taking the development of the school as their own responsibility. They fulfill their duties, take the initiative, and pursue excellence, ensuring the smooth completion of the evaluation work.

In his speech, Wanjun Wang fully affirmed the heavy industry spirit of "overcoming difficulties and selflessly dedicating" and the evaluation spirit of "diligence, pragmatism, teamwork, unity and cooperation" displayed in the evaluation work, and expressed sincere gratitude to all faculty and staff for their contributions. For the work after the evaluation, Wanjun Wang emphasized the need to continuously change concepts, firmly establish the positioning of application-oriented education, adhere to the student-centered approach, and emphasize the guidance of ability development. He requested that the first step is to further deepen teaching reform, combine one's own advantages with future industrial development, optimize professional layout, improve the education and teaching system, optimize talent cultivation plans, and highlight the cultivation of students' core professional abilities and practical abilities. The second is to further strengthen the construction of the teaching staff, optimize the structure of teaching staff, strengthen the construction of core professional teachers and internship and training mentors, and continuously improve teachers' teaching and research abilities. Thirdly, we will further deepen cooperation between schools and enterprises, focus on the construction of modern industrial colleges and internship and training bases, and continuously improve students' employability.
