School Of Electronic And Information

School of Electronic and Information is the technical talents training base for Internet of Thing. It currently has three bachelor degree majors (Internet of Things Engineering, Networking Engineering and Electronic Information Engineering) and seven associate degree majors (Internet of Thing Application Technology, Electronic Information Engineering Technology, Applied Electronic Technology, Computer Network Technology, Information Security Technology, Electric Automation Technology and Computer System Maintenance). Currently, there are 75 faculties. Among them, there are 3 experts who won the title of “national and provincial talent”, 15 full professors, 21 associate professors, 5 faculties with doctor degree. More than 80 percent of faculties have master degree and above. The number of double-qualified faculties is more than 80 percent.

School of Electronic and Information has two dozens of high qualified laboratories and engineering training centers (electronic technique lab, electronic technique lab, micro-controller training room, PLC sensor technique training room, power electronics training room, laptop computer detection & maintenance training room, network training room, network protocol analysis lab, virtualization technique training room, big data technique training room, network integrated wiring training room, LAAS lab, PAAS lab, cloud security lab, internet of thing basis lab, comprehensive training room of internet of thing, electronic information training center, etc.) these centers of labs could accommodate more than 3000 students every year.

The principle of talents training is “competition promotes teaching, competition promotes studying”. Students won numerous awards (National “H3C cup” network technique competition, National university students mathematics modeling contest, Chongqing “Holtec cup” MCU design contest, Chongqing “TI cup” electronics design contest, Chongqing vocational students skills competition, Chongqing “Uni-president cup” university students venture contest). In employment, 35 percent students enter Fortune 500 Companies and a dozen of students were enlisted NCOs. Companies and troops gave high praises of the students.
